职工所在企业欠缴养老保险费用期间，职工个人可以继续缴纳养老保险费用，所足额缴纳的费用记入个人账户，并计算为职工实际缴费年限，并不会影响养老保险的累积缴纳时间。

养老保险中断了是可以补交的，如果参保人员已经达到了法定退休年龄，并符合相关法规，那么可以一次性补交养老保险。如果没有达到退休年龄，那么就只能补缴断交之间的费用。
由个人原因造成的断交，那么需要由个人到户口所在地的社保中心进行补交。由单位原因造成的断交，那么单位可以向有关部门提出书面补交申请，并提交申请补交期间与劳动者存在劳动关系的证明，工资银行流水等等，经确认后，就可以为职工补交养老保险。
最后需要注意的是，由单位原因造成的养老保险断交，那么单位补交时，还需要缴纳0.05%的滞纳金，滞纳金从断交之日开始计算直至补缴所欠费用之日止。
职工养老保险断交能退吗
一般情况下是不能的，但是在以下几种特殊情况是可以退的。
1、参保人因某种原因导致身故的，其继承人，多半是直系亲属，如父母、配偶、子女等，可以申请退保，并领取养老保险个人账户金额的，但是只能领取个人账户金额。
2、参保人出国定居或者办理移民的，这种情况也是可以领取养老保险个人账户的余额。
3、参保人重复参保，比如同时参加了城乡居民养老保险和城镇职工养老保险的，可以选择退掉其中的一种。
4、参保人达到法定退休年龄但是累计缴费年限不满15年，且不满足补缴条件或不想补缴，可以申请一次性退保即退回养老保险个人账户余额退回。
